Sarà Derek Green a guidare l’attacco degli Stainless Steel Warriors Emilia nel prossimo Campionato IFL!

Figlio d’arte di quel Trent Green per 15 anni protagonista della NFL, dove ha militato come quarterback, tra gli altri, per i San Diego Chargers, i Washington Redskins, i Kansas City Chiefs e i Miami Dolphins, e vincitore di un Super Bowl nel 1999 con i LA Rams, Derek, nato proprio in quell’anno, vanta un curriculum di tutto rispetto. Dopo l’High School in Missouri, ha studiato e giocato per 3 anni alla Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Texas, sotto la guida di coach Sonny Dykes, e una stagione a New York, alla Long Island University, guadagnandosi titoli e riconoscimenti, tra i quali quello di All-Conference Prime Performer. Nel suo anno da senior, ha lanciato per 1.709 yard e corso per 415 yard, mettendo a segno 14 TD

Derek Green will lead the Emilia Stainless Steel Warriors' offense in the 2023 IFL season! Green, as in football royalty QB Trent Green, Derek's father who played for 15 seasons in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers, the Washington Redskins, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Miami Dolphins. The older Green won the 1999 Super Bowl while playing for the Los Angeles Rams. Talent travels through the bloodline, and Derek gained accolades and titles wearing first the uniform of Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Texas for four years and then, for one year, the Long Island University's colors (New York). In New York, Derek won the Prime Performer All-Conference honor. During his college career, Derek passed for 1,709 yards and rushed for 415 yards, with 14 touchdowns on his scoring card. After signing with the Emilia Stainless Steel Warriors, when asked about playing in Italy, Derek stated: "I am very excited to come to Italy and compete in the IFL. I am looking forward to carrying my lifelong American experience of football to Italy in the pursuit of a championship title. I can't wait to get to work with my new teammates and coaches."
